The GBIC is a strategic tool designed for organizations to develop and refine sustainable business models. As an adaptation of the traditional Business Model Canvas, it is tailored specifically for businesses aiming to integrate green practices into their operations and offerings.

How to use GBIC
Green Business Innovation Canvas
The GBIC is a tool designed to help entrepreneurs and businesses develop innovative green business ideas.
- Define the problem by clearly defining the environmental or sustainability problem that your business idea aims to address.
- Use the GBIC to multidirectional brainstorm innovative solutions to the identified problem. Identify the innovation for products/ services/ market/ design/ brand/ technology/ process/ delivery through inspiring from listed environmental, social, economic triggers.
- Evaluate feasibility and potential impact of each solution by considering factors such as technical viability, market demand, resource requirements, scalability, and economic benefits. Rank or prioritize solutions based on their potential to create positive change.
- Develop an implementation plan outlining the steps required to bring your green business idea to life. Consider factors such as resource allocation, timeline, milestones, key performance indicators (KPIs), and risk mitigation strategies.
- Iterate and continuously refine your green business idea based on feedback, new information, and changing market conditions. Be open to adjusting your approach and exploring alternative solutions as needed.
- Seek collaboration and support from relevant stakeholders, partners, and experts to collaborate on implementing your green business idea. Seek support from investors, government agencies, and industry associations that may provide funding, incentives, or resources to support green innovation initiatives.
